Ingredients:
- 1 can black beans, rinsed, drained and dried
- 1/3 cup Neal Brothers salsa of choice
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 cup onion, finely diced
- 1/3 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- Big pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Burger extras: Mini burger buns, Neal Brothers Garlic Aioli Mayo spread, sliced tomatoes, red or white onion, pickles, mustard, etc.
Oil, for frying
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Place black beans in an even layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
- Add dried beans to a large bowl and mash with a fork or potato masher.
- Use a rubber spatula to mix in the remaining burger ingredients until well combined.
- Use a small ice cream scoop (or two spoons) to portion out slider-sized patties on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Shape each patty with wet hands.
- Heat oil in a medium-size pan over medium heat. Add patties to the pan and cook on each side for 4 minutes.
- Assemble burgers with your desired toppings. Enjoy!
